Computer Camp Instructor
Camp Location: Stanford University
Camp Dates: various one week sessions in July and August, 2018
The Computer Camp Instructor will design and implement a curriculum to teach one or more of the following topics (usually just one topic per week):
Instructors will lead daily workshops and seminars in a computer lab, and assist students in one-on-one sessions. Average class size is approximately 12 students. Instructors should have professional experience in web design or programming and some experience teaching these concepts to young people. Most importantly, instructors must be mature, reliable, enthusiastic about teaching computer science, and able to make complicated lessons clear to young learners.
In addition to teaching responsibilities, instructors are expected to assist the camp director with active supervision and recreation assistance. Instructors will also be responsible for tracking student work and handing in any deliverables to the camp director and EU home office.
This is a residential position — room, board, and parking on campus is provided for the duration of the program. We will also consider instructors who wish to commute daily. Instructors may be hired for one session or for multiple sessions of this program. Please indicate your availability on your application.
